HOW TO DuitNow

A simple and convenient way to pay instantly to any mobile number and NRIC number.

Register

  • Logon
    Logon to the Mobile and Internet Banking of your bank or the mobile apps of participating payment providers.
  • Look
    Look for DuitNow under ‘Funds Transfer’ or ‘Send Money’ menu.
  • Register
    Perform a one-time registration for DuitNow by linking your IDs (e.g. mobile number, NRIC number) with your bank accounts or e-money accounts.

Frequently Asked Questions

With DuitNow, you can send money instantly on a 24/7 basis to mobile numbers, NRIC numbers or business registration numbers. You can send and receive funds instantly anytime, anywhere.
You must first register for DuitNow by linking one of the following IDs with your bank account or e-money account at participating banks and payment providers:
  • Your Mobile number
  • Your NRIC number
  • Your Passport number
  • Business registration number (only SSM-registered businesses)

Once you have registered, payers can direct payments to you using the registered ID (DuitNow ID).
DuitNow will soon be available at the Internet and Mobile Banking channels of 44 banks in Malaysia, as well as participating e-money mobile apps.
Registration is not required to send money via DuitNow.

In order to receive money via DuitNow, a one-time registration is needed to link your ID with your bank account or e-money account.
You can register multiple IDs, as long as your IDs have been verified by your bank.

However, one ID can only be registered to one bank account.
No, it is absolutely FREE for consumers to send and receive money up to RM 5,000.

For transaction above RM 5,000, a 50 sen fee may be applicable. However, some banks are waiving this fee.

For businesses, contact your bank for transaction fee information.
As the name suggests (read: do-it-now), DuitNow transfers occur immediately and recipients will usually receive money in their bank account or e-money account instantly.
Yes, DuitNow supports future dated and recurring transfers.
Yes, saving a DuitNow ID as a favourite recipient allows you to perform subsequent transfers with fewer steps.
Consumers may transfer up to RM 50,000 per transaction at banks. Businesses may transfer up to RM 10,000,000 per transaction at banks.

The limit may vary depending on your bank's channels. e-Money payment providers will have lower limits.
Non-Banks seeking admission shall be an eligible Issuer of e-Money or approved Issuer of a Designated Payment Instrument or a Registered Merchant Acquirer. Details on how to participate is available here.
